Welcome to the 2010 Miss Louisiana Jazzland Pageant which will be held on December 5 at DeRidder High School in DeRidder, Louisiana. 2010 Pageant Schedule and Information Times may vary for interviews! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! Hello Girls and Good Luck, First, the interviews on Saturday will be at Southwood High School, 9000 Walker Road. Shreveport, LA 71118 at 1:00 PM. Miss contestants will go into interview and questioning will begin for 9 1/2 minutes with a 30 second wrap up. Below will be your name and number. Outstanding Teen interviews will follow begin first at 1. Please be 15 minutes early for the interview. If someone has any un-expected problems, we will proceed to the next contestant. You will notice that interviews have been listed below. General rehearsal will begin at 10 AM and talent rehearsal will follow Outstanding Teen and Miss interview. As you finish interview, rehearse your talent. one rehearsal per contestant. Dixie Princesses will rehearse with us at 5 PM. Someone will be in the front hall to greet and get you to your interview. PLEASE HAVE YOUR NAME, NUMBER and SONG TITLE ON YOUR CD OR TAPE AND ONLY THE PIECE YOU WILL PERFORM ON THE TAPE. Talent rehearsals right after your interview. PLEASE BE ON TIME.....I run a very tight pageant in a timely fashion. We will begin at 6:00 PM promptly. You should be dressed and ready for opening at 5:45. Opening number will be in your talent competition attire. Princess will use their casual wear for opening attire. We will then do fitness for teens and swimsuit for Miss; last will be all Contestants in evening gown with an on-stage question. Parents or hairdressers will be allowed backstage but MUST buy a badge during interviews or at rehearsal. If someone else is helping, they must have a badge as well. The badges are $10. If you plan to go in and out of the pageant to help, you must go around the hall way and re-enter through the back. Bring your own mirrors, clothes rack and extension cords (I would bring a power strip as well). The room does not have that equipment. You MUST clean up your area before leaving. If you have a back-up tape, please pick it up from the sound man before leaving. Speaking of sound; if your tape is more than 90 seconds, the tape will be faded out at 90 seconds and please have your name and contestant number on the tape. This is the stage competition order: Talent - OT; casual wear - teen princess and Miss talent; OTeen Fitness, Princess fitness and miss swimsuit; Evening gown with on-stage question. Petites will be introduced in their white dresses with the older contestants during evening gown. As soon as one competition is completed, get into the next competition clothes. This way, the show will run smoothly. The doors will open at 5:00 PM for ticket sales and the pageant begins at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10. Good Luck to you all and remember we can assure you that we will work very hard for the young ladies who will be crowned.
