2012 Pageant Schedule and Information PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! Hello Girls and Good Luck, First, the interviews on Saturday will be at Homewood Suite Hotel which is our host hotel at 5485 Financial Plaza in Shreveport, Louisiana beginning at 10:00 AM. Miss contestants will go into interview and questioning will begin for 9 1/2 minutes with a 30 second wrap up. Below will be your name and number. Please be 15 minutes early for the interview. If someone has any un-expected problems, we will proceed to the next contestant. You will notice that interview times have been listed below. If you are traveling from out of town, it might be good to stay over-night at the host hotel in order to be fresh and unstressed. As you finish interview, go to Huntington High School which is about six blocks from the hotel to rehearse your talent. One rehearsal per contestant! We will go over fitness and gown walk after all talent rehearsals are completed. Opening number will be very simple! Freeze model with your umbrella in swimsuit or fitness! Dixie Princesses will rehearse with us at 2:00 for a quick run through!! Someone will be in the hotel lobby to greet and get you to your interview. PLEASE HAVE YOUR NAME, NUMBER and SONG TITLE ON YOUR CD OR TAPE AND ONLY THE PIECE YOU WILL PERFORM ON THE TAPE. If your tape is more than 90 seconds for miss, the tape will be faded out at 90 seconds. Talent rehearsals right after your interview. PLEASE BE ON TIME.....I run a very tight pageant in a timely fashion. We begin in swimsuit, then talent and evening gown/on-stage question last. Please change AS SOON AS YOU FINISH EACH COMPETITION. Know that we are doing this so that 3 of you will have the opportunity for scholarships and a chance to participate in the Miss Louisiana Pageant in June. We will begin Holiday in Dixie and Louisiana Jazzland at 6:00 PM promptly. You should be dressed and ready for opening at 5:55. Opening number will be a swimsuit/miss or fitness for teens with an umbrella of your choice. Talent will be next, and; last will be evening gown with an onstage question. Parents or hairdressers will be allowed backstage but MUST buy a ticket during interviews or at rehearsal. If someone else is helping, they must have a ticket as well. The tickets are $10. If you plan to go in and out of the pageant to help, you must go around the hall way and re-enter through the back. Bring your own mirrors, clothes rack and extension cords. The room does not have this equipment. You MUST clean up your area before leaving. If you have a back-up tape, please pick it up from the sound man before leaving. NO EATING OR DRINKING IN DRESSING ROOMS OR AUDITORIUM. YOU MAY EAT IN LOBBY AREA. Petites will be introduced in their white dresses with the older contestants during evening gown. The children's talent competition will be between the teen and miss talent. The doors will open at 5:00 PM for ticket sales and pageant begins at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $10. Good Luck to you all and remember we can assure you that we will work very hard for the young ladies who will be crowned. UPDATE!
